Rita Ora!!
Hi guys
How are you all? This blog post is going to be a bit different compared to my previous posts. As part of my whole blog I do want to post reviews for different bits and bobs and so I guess this is a little introduction to this and hopefully over time, I'll do more and get better at writing them too.
This one, as you can tell by the title is all about my trip to see Rita Ora in concert! Now, I have been a fan of Rita since she came on the scene back in 2012. I remember it well because I gave birth to my middle child, Sam in February 2012 and I remember getting my hospital bag ready and bopping around the bedroom to "Hot right now". That was seven years ago and I said from day one that if ever she toured then I would be there! Front Row!
So when the tickets went on sale for her Phoenix tour I was ready and oh my god did I get fantastic seats or what?!!! I say seats but we were standing. We went to the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool and apart from the weather being absolutely shocking and completely flattening my curls, we had a fantastic night!!
Rita was incredible from start to finish. Her set list was a good mixture of her oldies plus a couple from her new album which was perfect. The energy that poured from her and her dancers was electrifying and made the show a non stop party with everyone being on their feet. And my husband was no exception. Yes that's right, I took my husband to see a Rita Ora concert, and he loved every second.
I loved this one part of the show where Rita was backstage getting changed and the whole stage turned into a sea of colour with her dancers entertaining us. Then her voice came over the speaker and said "If everything seems under control.... you're not going fast enough". This gave me absolute chills and I thought that a fantastic saying! Her vocals throughout the show were completely on point as I'd expected and in my opinion was faultless.
I'd been looking forward to seeing Rita on her very own tour for ages and now it's finally been and gone it's hard to fathom where all this time is going. I hope Rita continues down this path to ultimate stardom because she bloody deserves every success. Let's hope there are many more albums to come our way with a tour or two to follow, I for one will be there, singing my heart out!
Thank you Rita for an amazing night in Liverpool, it was a hell of a ride!!
